We want all of our work to be inclusive and accessible, and this extends to our website. On this page you can find our accessibility statement. If you are unhappy with the accessibility of our site, or any of our work, we'd be happy to hear from you and to make any changes necessary to be better.

Accessibility Statement

Gather Together wants its website and published content to be usable by as many people as possible.

We are working to improve accessibility in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

How we support accessibility

When we build and update our website, we try to make accessibility part of the process rather than an afterthought. In practice, this means:

We think about accessibility when publishing and updating content.
We use the accessibility tools provided by our website platform (Wix) and check pages regularly for obvious issues.
We structure pages clearly, with headings and layouts that are easier to navigate using a keyboard or screen reader.
We add text descriptions to images where they carry meaning.
We aim to write in clear, plain language in the work we publish.
When we become aware of accessibility problems, we prioritise fixing anything that stops people from getting information or contacting us.

Conformance status

We are currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2, level AA. This means that some parts of the site do not yet meet the standard fully, but we are actively working to improve this.

Additional considerations

We try to avoid unnecessary barriers for users wherever we can. This includes keeping content readable, avoiding overly complex layouts, and making sure it is easy to get in touch with us if something is not working

Known limitations

We know there may still be some accessibility issues. For example:

Some video content embedded on the site does not include user controls to pause, stop, or hide playback, as this functionality is limited by the website platform.
